At the moment we have some of the best days of the season here in the Lyngen alps. Hard to find good powder skiing but the entire range is a playground with stable snow and fantastic spring skiing in the sun. Enjoying fantastic days at the AscentDescent Ski Lodge in Lyngen and even if we have a pretty shallow snow pack in places the cold nights is saving the rest of the season. 2016 is getting filled up as we speak and it´s really fun that 10 years of hard work is paying off!

Opening week here in the Lyngen alps and AscentDescent Ski Lodge Lyngen. A lot of good skiing but also mixed weather. Early in the week we had some calm days but this weekend the wind has started to pick up. We have three months of ski guiding in the Lyngen alps in front of us and the groups, guides and staff are ready to welcome our guests. Best Regards / Jimmy Halvardsson

May have been a great month in The Lyngen alps with fantastic skiing and this weekend we closed the ski season in Nord Lenangen. A very busy season and a lot of mixed conditions rounded of with a few days of skiing with friends, guides and groups. We went all out with boat rides, late nights and good times with a great crew from Gothenburg. Even having a few friends invited for the jacuzzi and dinner made this night feel special. Now it´s time for some more work in the wild mountains of The Lyngen peninsula and we´re going camping. Thank´s for a great season everyone and a special thank´s to the family of Eikrem who have supported me and AscentDescent for 8 years now. Together we have created a cutting edge ski concept in the Lyngen alps that will last for years to come. Also a big hug to the guides who´ve been delivering safe and fun tours to our clients from all over the world. 7 Blåner and Dynafit have been supporting with outstanding equipment, clothing and world class service throughout the season and deserves a big hug for that! Spring has arrived in the Lyngen alps even if the conditions often is like winter up high. At Ascent Descent “The Lyngen Mountains Guides” we´ve had a record season in many ways. We´ve had more bookings than before, more skiing by boat and the worst weather season ever in The Lyngen alps. It´s been plenty of good mountain memories and good skiing but all those days with clear blue sky that we are used to has been reduced this winter. The good thing is that we still have a good snow pack and are ready for the good days that comes with the calmer spring season. We keep on going to the 31st of May out here in Nord Lenangen in the Northern Lyngen alps. So for us it´s still mid season!
