After three weeks of touring here in the lyngen alps the really good conditions finally arrived. Last week the “Willis bunch” from scotland got some mixed weather with some nice days in between the snow and rain showers. This week, with the swedish “friluftsfrämjandet”, have been blessed with some of the best snow I’ve skied and clear blue skies. Yesterday we did one of my absolute favourite tours out here in Nord-Lenangen. Ruossavarri 816m at the tip of the lyngen peninsula held some great powder slopes with views from another world. Arrived by boat from the east side we made a traverse of the peninsula and skied great powder. Two days ago we skied the ultra classics Storgalten 1219m and lille galten 836m in epic powder..
Welcome to our base in Nord Lenangen, one of the top locations in the Lyngen alps!
Niklas and Uffe on the Norther tip of Lyngen, just breathing is enough some times..
Powder all the way to the summit.
Skiing the slopes with full value in every turn.

2 great skidays and sore legs from h… Had a beautiful day yesterday, skiing Pas de chevre, Grand Envers and some variation on the east face of Brevent. Today we skied from col de Entreves straight down to Entreves glacier in excellent conditions. Great day finished of with Italian pasta on the Hellbronner mid station. Take care out there!
Ragnar using his poles well for resting after about 100 powder turns in a row…
Johan Wildhagen gets some turns on the Entreves glacier between filming and photographing.
Wolfie and Eva get’s romantic on the col the Entreves. With good reason!
As usual we spend the spring in The Lyngen Alps and Tromsø this year. We are already getting booked by skiers who want to see the fantastic landscape and ski the beautiful mountains up here. April and May will be specially reserved for the Lyngen Alps. If you are interested in the skitouring in Lyngen you can visit www.ascentdescent.com where you will find a rough program and more details. Here are some pictures from last season.
On the drive out to the northern end of The Lyngen peninsula you find this old house… you have Ulstinden in the background wich is a great skitouring peak on the other side of the fjord.

On our way to ski the Westface couloir on Jiekkevarri (1834m), wich is the highest peak in Northern Norway. You find this peak on the southern part of Lyngen.
Taking a well deserved lunch break on Veidalsfjellet wich is a great skitouring peak on the northern part of Lyngen.
