It´s been a fantastic start to the ski touring season in the Lyngen alps and Tromsø region. Record breaking amounts of snow and no mild coastal spells so far. As we are already in late March the days are very long and at the moment we have cold clear weather and sunny powder slopes all over the place. We also got some room for more bookings i May so don´t hesitate to send us an e-mail about availability.
Welcome to The Lyngen alps and the Learning From Legends MTB.
Our Learning From Legends Events gives participants the opportunity to meet the best in the game to boost their knowledge and motivation. The MTB edition will be covering XC and Downhill/Enduro oriented terrain mainly natural single track trails. This is a “workshop” event where our experienced profiles join the participants to share and coach at some points during the tours. In the evenings there will be presentations of the “legends” and opportunity to ask and share experiences in between having a great time:) A great opportunity to meet new friends and discover a new area.

In the end of January 2018 we run a very special avalanche course for any skier to join. High lighting “decision making in avalanche terrain” we hope to make it interesting for skiers at all levels and aspiring ski mountaineers. Bringing in top names as Markus Landrø and Ptor Spricenieks we make sure to give huge value for money and a real kick-start to the season up here. Both inspirational and packed with learning we hope for full house as the Lyngen prime time season will be just around the corner. Please check out the program under “Events” and please send a mail for taking part or ask questions about the weekend.

The Lyngen alps has always been known as a premier spot for ski mountaineering and ski touring but more people find their way to our fantastic mountain range in summer as well. Glacier excursions, trekking and mountaineering is great when visiting Tromsø and The Lyngen alps in the summer. We customize day tours and multiple day excursion for private groups and individuals all summer. Here´s some pictures from our last glacier tour.

The hiking to the glaciers is often a bit rough so it´s good to be in shape for a day out on this activity. Photo: Jimmy Halvardsson

It´s mid May and finally the spring has arrived with warmer temperatures and midnight sun just around the corner. The Lyngen alps has bees fantastic lately with a few weeks of perfect weather, powder and great snow coverage down to the shores. For many this is the best time of the year and at the moment we experience the first heavy transformation in the snow pack and it will soon be perfect spring snow lasting well in to June this year. Here is some pictures from one of our days last week!
