Avalanche awareness

With an inclinometer you can check slope steepenessAs a UIAGM Mountain Guide I have to deal with avalanche issues on a daily basis. Mostly in wintertime in combination with skiing or climbing but also in summer when travelling in high mountain terrain. Balancing between safety and fun all day long is tricky for everyone, guides, offpiste skiers and alpinists. We all travel in the mountains for different reasons but normaly we all whan’t to have good fun and get down safely in the end of the day.

These courses can be set up differently depending on prior knowledge and experience. I highly recommend everyone, who are planning to spend some time skiing and climbing in winter, to learn about staying alive in awalanche terrain.

In The Lyngen Alps we have a snowpack that differs alot from many other places. Come and learn why!
