Ascent Descent “The Lyngen Mountain Guides”  is a guide company which specialises in ski touring, offpiste skiing and alpine climbing. The Lyngen Alps is our backyard and we got years of experience from guiding in every corner of this amazing mountain range. Chamonix in France is our second home and some of our summer activities and parts of the skiing in winter is taking place here.

As a certified UIAGM Mountain Guide, with over 15 years of experience in the Northern Norway my goal is to create memories of a lifetime.

Ascent Descent is all about fine skiing and climbing and our focus is on your total experience during a week or tour. The journey up to a summit or an approach to a climb is not only a means to an end but part of the over all experience.

Our goal is to present some of the best climbing and skiing experience you’ve ever had!

“15 years ago I started working with Climbing courses and guiding in the Lofoten islands, Northern Norway. It was a starting point to what has become my fulltime job, career and lifestyle. The interest of climbing and skiing mountains brought and keeps on bringing me to many beautiful places such as Patagonia, Yosemite valley, Australia, Lyngen Alps, Chamonix and more.

Big turns in fresh powder snow, chalked up hands on solid granite or standing on a high alpine peak with the sun rising in the horizon, that’s what this is all about.
